Rock Hopper Cafe!

IF you didn't notice, We are partnering with Stephanie and Nicholai to bring a coffee experience to the brewhouse mornings! Yes, craft COFFEE as well as craft beer and craft spirits. To be called "Rock Hopper Cafe".

In preparation for the Rock Hopper Cafe, we have relocated our burning bush from just off the deck to in front of the bier keller. This makes space for a coffee trailer to park next to the deck. (think food truck).

Nicholai will be making Free coffee samples. This is NOT your average cup of Joe, but a drinkable convergence of ART and SCIENCE! you need to try one!

Rock Hopper Cafe will be hosting a few free tasting events starting in the next few weeks. We will be tasting a bunch of coffee and other offerings. You get to help us decide what we will offer. Come try them all and tell us which ones were your favorite!

The Barista

Howdy! My name is Nicholai Elkins. I am originally from Texas, but I recently moved to Campton to start a coffee shop with Stephanie McIntyre located at The Dam Brewhouse. I have been working as a coffee professional for the last 9 years. I have had the privilege to work with some of the greatest minds in coffee over the years. I have worked as a barista and in management, but the bulk of my time was spent in the roasting and education side of the industry. I wrote a book called, “The Third Wave: A Guide to Great Coffee” This short book has all the basic knowledge and principles someone would need to know to make great coffee at home and in a professional setting. I love latte art and have placed in the top 16 of the Latte Art World Championship twice.  I like to say that I am “aggressively medium” at coffee (“How I Met Your Mother” reference) and my favorite shirt says, “World’s Okayest Barista”, but I promise once we are up and running the quality of the coffee and the efficiency of service will be far beyond “medium” or “okay”.
